Athens, Ga. - Sophomore women's gymnast Brandi Personett (Katy, Texas) followed up her First Team All-America performance Thursday night with a fifth-place finish in the NCAA Event Finals Saturday night in Athens, Ga. Personett recorded her second-best score of the season on the balance beam, a 9.8750, to tie for fifth in the country on the apparatus.
The Big Ten all-around, vault and floor champion, Personett became Penn State's 74th overall individual All-America honor on beam on Thursday during the first preliminary session of the NCAA National Championships when she scored a 9.850 to tie for second.
