Nittany Lions Advance To Second Place in Nittany Lion Invitational

The Penn State women's golf team advanced into second place today, following the second round of the Nittany Lion Invitational.

The team shot 306 during the second round, giving the Nittany Lions a score of 614 for the first day.

Sophomore Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy) continued to lead the Nittany Lions, scoring 76 for her second round and giving her 150 for the day. She is currently tied for fourth place. She was followed by sophomore Brianna Malcolmson (Murwillumbah, Australia) who shot 74 to bring her total score up to 155.

Freshman Emily Riddle (St. Mary's, Pa.) shot 77-76 (153) for the day while competing as an individual. Kelly Osborne (Ballwin, Mo.), also competing individually, was not far behind and shot 79-75 (154).

The Nittany Lion Invitational will finish tomorrow. The final round will be played in the morning and awards will be presented following play.
