Nittany Lions in the NFL - Week Five

Each week throughout the year, www.GoPSUsports.com, will provide updates on the exploits of these former Nittany Lion greats. Highlights from week five of the 2008 NFL season include Scott Paxson making his NFL regular season debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bobby Engram returning to the Seahawks line-up after a preseason injury, and Kerry Collins leading the Tennessee Titans to a 5-0 record.

Adams saw action in the Bears' defensive line rotation, recording two assisted tackles.

Jay Alford, DT, New York Giants

Alford saw time at defensive tackle, registering one assisted tackle, as the Giants' improved to 4-0.

Levi Brown, OT, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals 41, Buffalo Bills 17
Brown started at right tackle, helping anchor an offense that amassed 373 total yards and posted a season-high 41 points.

Kerry Collins, QB, Tennessee Titans

Collins helped Tennessee to remain undefeated at 5-0, throwing for 163 yards on 17-of-32 passing and one touchdown.

Connor was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season ending knee injury in Carolina's week three game versus Minnesota.

In his first game back after suffering a shoulder injury in the preseason, Engram picked up where he left off last year, leading the Seahawks in catches (5) and receiving yards (38).

Gould was perfect on the day, going 4-for-4 on PATs and 2-for-2 on field goals, hitting from 37 and 45 yards out. He also placed three of his seven kickoffs in the end zone, including one touchback.

Hali started at right defensive end, totaling four tackles (3 solo).
