The Penn State women's golf team is preparing to travel to Iowa to take part in the Hawkeye Invitational this weekend. The team is coming off a 10th place finish at the Badger Invitational last weekend.

"Iowa will definitely be tough on their home course," said head coach Denise St. Pierre. "They'll really provide a lot of competition. Wisconsin is also going to be there so hopefully the Big 10 will dominate this tournament. We're really hoping to finish in the top five. We've been having moments where we haven't completely meshed but every week is helping us to get better."

Penn State will be led by Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy), who hit her first hole-in-one last weekend at the Badger Invitational. Rounding out the team will be Brianna Malcolmson (Murwillumbah, Australia), Victoria Arena (Lansdale, Pa.), Lindsay Cullen (Allen, Texas) and Emily Riddle (St. Mary's, Pa.).

The Hawkeye Invitational will be held in Iowa City, Iowa, at the Finkbine Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5.
