The Penn State women's golf team finished the Lady Northern in 12th place. It was their final tournament of the fall season.
The team posted a final score of 312- 313- 338 (963). Purdue claimed first place on their home course with a final three-round score of 895. Second and third place went to Michigan State and Notre Dame, respectively.
Leading Penn State was sophomore Brianna Malcolmson (Murwillumbah, Australia) who finished tied for 26th place with a score of 80- 77- 78 (235). Sophomore Giulia Carando followed closely in 42nd place with a score of 76- 79- 85 (240).
The Lady Northern Invitational is the Nittany Lions' final tournament for the fall season. The 2009 spring season will begin with Lady Dukes Invitational in Harrisonburg, Va., on Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10, 2009.
