UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - For the second time this season, senior defender Jessie Davis (Fairfax, Va.) has been named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.
Davis played an integral role in securing Penn State's 11th consecutive Big Ten title. The Nittany Lions won both matchups against Purdue and Illinois by a shutout score of 2-0. Davis played every minute in both contests as Penn State now ranks second in shutouts in the Big Ten.
This is Davis' second selection to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the week this season as she received her first nod on Oct. 6. She also earned second team All-Big Ten honors last season.
The Nittany Lions will return to Jeffrey Field Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. for their final Big Ten regular season match up with Ohio State. Davis as well as Kaleen Adami, Zoe Bouchelle and Allie Daus will be honored in the Senior Day celebration.
