LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions struggled to find their shooting touch all night as they shot just 30% from the field, including an 18.8% effort in the first half, en route to an 80-59 loss to Pittsburgh Monday. Junior Tyra Grant led the Lady Lions with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Janessa Wolff added eight points, six rebounds and two steals off of the bench. Senior Rashida Mark turned in a six-point, six-rebound performance in 16 minutes and Evelyn Lewis chipped in five points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals in the loss.

SCOUTING A&M: The Aggies are a perfect 4-0 on the season and ranked fifth in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. Danielle Gant is averaging 12.3 points and 8.8 rebounds to lead Texas A&M in both categories. Takia Starks and Tyra White are also averaging double figures at 10.3 and 10.0 points per game, respectively.

SCOUTING PEPPERDINE: The Waves are 2-2 this year with wins over Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and Northern Arizona. Miranda Ayim accounts for 13.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per outing to lead the Waves. Jazmine Jackson (11.5) and Katie Menton (11.0) are also scoring in double figures for Pepperdine.

SCOUTING COPPIN STATE: The Eagles are 0-2 on the season with losses to George Washington and South Florida. Jennifer Martin leads Coppin State with a 7.5 scoring average and 6.5 rebounding mark.

ALL-TIME VS. THE TIMEOUT 4 HIV/AIDS TOURNEY FIELD: The Lady Lions have never faced any of the three teams in the Timeout 4 HIV/AIDS Tournament. Penn State has found success against two of the teams' conferences as the Lady Lions are 17-15 against Big 12 foes and are 5-0 versus MEAC schools. If the Lady Lions face Pepperdine, it will be the first time in school history that PSU has played a West Coast Conference opponent.

Following the Timeout 4 HIV/AIDS Tournament, the Lady Lions travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to play Florida State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The Lady Lions return to the friendly confines of the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, Dec. 6 to face Dayton at noon and remain home to face Bucknell on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. For information on Lady Lion Basketball tickets, call the Penn State ticket office at 814-865-5555.
