UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - After a four-game road trip, the Penn State Lady Lions (4-3) return to the friendly confines of the Bryce Jordan Center when they host Dayton (5-3) Saturday at noon. Fans will receive Penn State shakers as they enter the gates while supplies last.

PROMOTIONS: Saturday is a day full of deals for Lady Lion fans as Penn State celebrates the opening of I-99 by giving fans from Blair County, who show their Drivers License at the Box Office, a tickets for $0.99. Saturday also marks the first SUBWAY FULL COURT FOUR PACK offer of the season where fans can purchase four tickets, four soft drinks at the game and a voucher redeemable for four six inch subs at any State College Subway location for just $40. LAST TIME OUT: Tyra Grant scored 13 of her game-high 18 points in the second half, but it was not enough as the Penn State Lady Lions dropped a 73-60 decision at Florida State Wednesday in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Mashea Williams returned to the lineup after missing five games with a hand injury to tally nine points, three assists and four steals. Brianne O'Rourke chipped in 16 points, two assists and two steals.

SCOUTING DAYTON: The Flyers are 5-3 on the season and are coming off of a key 59-56 win over Big East foe Cincinnati on Wednesday night. Casey Nance had a double-double against the Bearcats with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Kristin Daugherty leads the Flyers on the season, averaging 16.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Justina Raterman (14.3 ppg) and Kendel Ross (11.3) are also averaging double-digits for the Flyers.

ALL-TIME VS. THE FLYERS: This is the first meeting between the Lady Lions and Dayton in school history. Penn State is 131-17 all-time against current Atlantic 10 members. The Lady Lions were 1-1 against A-10 teams last season with a win over Charlotte and a tough loss to Xavier.

GRANT HITS 1,000 POINTS: Junior guard Tyra Grant became the 14th junior in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau for her career with an 18-point effort at Florida State Dec. 3. Grant is also the 31st player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark. She is the first junior to reach 1,000 points since Jess Strom reached the milestone in 2003-04. Grant has been a consistent scoring threat for the Lady Lions, leading the team in scoring each of her first two seasons in Happy Valley and paces the team again this season.

THIEVERY TIMES 10: The Lady Lions have accumulated at least 10 steals in each of their last three games against Texas A&M (15), Coppin State (10) and Florida State (11). The last time Penn State had three consecutive contests with 10 or more steals was the 2004-05 season when the Lady Lions had 10 or more steals in four-straight games (2/17/05-3/4/05).

TRIPLE THE DOUBLE-DOUBLE FUN: The Lady Lions had three players post double-doubles in the 76-61 win over Coppin State on Nov. 29. Brianne O'Rourke registered her first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 13 assists, while Julia Trogele posted her first career double-double with 12 points and a career-best 13 rebounds and Wolff had her third career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The last time that Penn State had three players with double-doubles was against Louisiana Tech in the NCAA Regional Final on March 27, 2000 when Helen Darling (15 pts., 12 asst.), Andrea Garner (15 pts., 12 rebs.) and Maren Walseth (13 pts., 10 reb.) had double-doubles.

BRI CAREER HIGH HELPERS: Brianne O'Rourke dished out a career-high 13 assists in the Nov. 29 win over Coppin State en route to her first career double-double. The senior guard's 13 helpers are the most by a Lady Lion since Jess Strom had 13 helpers against Oklahoma State on Nov. 24, 2001. O'Rourke's total is also tied for 13th on the Penn State single-game assists list. O'Rourke now has five games in her career with 10 or more assists.

The Lady Lions will remain home to face Bucknell on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m., before traveling to New York City and Madison Square Garden for the Third Annual Maggie Dixon Classic. The Lady Lions will face the top-ranked Connecticut Huskies at 2 p.m., as part of a doubleheader. Both Maggie Dixon Classic games will be televised on ESPNU. The 2009 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State proudly supported by Mimi Barash Coppersmith (formerly known as THINK PINK Day) will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m., as the Lady Lions take on Iowa in the Bryce Jordan Center. The game can be seen on www.bigtennetwork.com. The first two Pink Zone events have raised more than $50,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Penn State Hershey Breast Cancer Institute, the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
