UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's swimming and diving team won 10 of 13 events Friday, as it defeated St. Bonaventure, 127-105, on Senior Day at the McCoy Natatorium. Twelve different swimmers took first places for the Nittany Lions in the match.

Leading the charge for the Nittany Lions was Josh Bonner on the diving boards. Josh took first in both the one- and three-meter dives, earning NCAA qualifying scores of 290.25 and 337.42, respectively, in both events.

Swimming in their final home event, Patrick Schirk, Vincent Reydams, Tim Williams and Jason Goldner won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:32.92.

Dito Calderon was victorious in the 1000 freestyle, tapping the wall at 9:35.92.

Penn State had two events in which it took the top three positions. In the 200 free, Tim Wingert swam the fastest time of 1:42.84, while James Francis (1:42.99) and Chris Sullivan (1:43.99) followed suit to give the Nittay Lions an early advantage over the Bonnies. Likewise in the 50 free, Mike Kaiserian led a trio of Penn State swimmers, clocking in at 21.29 - .08 ahead of Chace Caruso and .12 in front of John Austin.

David Kraft etched a first-place showing in the 400 IM at 4:06.60, while teammate Dan Fimbianti chimed in with a victory in the 100 backstroke at 50.61.

Caruso and Matt Edgin placed first and second, respectively, in the 100 butterfly. Caruso owned a time of 49.80, while Edgin was just behind at 50.51.

Max Ettore rounded out the scoring for the Nittany Lions. Ettore earned first place in the 500 free at 4:32.67.

The Nittany Lions compete at the Big Ten Championships on Feb. 26-28 at West Lafayette, Ind. on the campus of Purdue University.
