2009 FOOTBALL STUDENT SEASON TICKET INFORMATION

First of all, we wish you well in the successful completion of classes and final exams over the next week.

On behalf of Penn State Athletics, we want to make you aware of the upcoming procedure and important dates related to the 2009 Student Season Ticket sale that will take place in mid-June.

Please note that Penn State Football student season tickets will once again be issued via an online first-come, first-served sale. Each eligible student may attempt to purchase one season ticket.

As in prior years, Intercollegiate Athletics has encouraged and read your suggestions as well as met with various student leadership representatives to review the long-standing season ticket allocation process. From the beginning, our very clear collective mission has been to assure that the season ticket allocation process is fair for all eligible participants.

The results of those discussions reaffirmed the 2008 season ticket allocation process will be utilized for the 2009 season.

Please note that all pre-registration and sale times are Eastern Time.

Highlights of the 2009 Student Season Ticket Allocation Process:

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT (Undergraduate and Graduate Students)

1. All returning, full-time undergraduate and graduate students, and first year graduate students who wish to purchase a 2009 season ticket must pre-register for the sale
during the designated pre-registration period, May 27 at 8:00 AM thru May 31 at 5:00 PM. Graduate programs must have confirmed by 5:00 PM May 15th that a first year graduate student has been offered admission for that student to be eligible to purchase season football tickets. Returning students and first year graduate students who do not pre-register will not be eligible to participate in the sale. Incoming Freshmen and newly accepted transfer students from another university will not pre-register, but are eligible to participate in the sale (See #3). All incoming Freshmen and newly accepted transfer students from another university must meet all Penn State entrance and eligibility standards by 5:00 PM May 15th to be eligible to purchase student season football tickets.

For all student ticketing needs, "Student Central" will be the "Official" home for your information.

INDIVIDUAL CLASS SALES
2. The 2009 sale will be administered by class and will result in five (5) separate sale dates for the five (5) separate class designations - Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen and Graduate students. Student class designation is determined by official university records (credits earned and reported) as of May 15th, 2009 at 5:00 PM. There can be no exceptions to class designation due to strict sale preparation deadlines. Students successful in purchasing tickets will have the opportunity to request a change in their class designation between August 3rd at 8:00 AM and August 26th at 5:00 PM by contacting the customer relations center at 814 863-1000. This request is only for students who earn additional credits after May 15th and those credits are reflected on the official university records. All requests will be reviewed by Athletic Ticketing Services through August 31st at 5:00 PM. All requesting students will be notified via e mail of their disposition. The number of tickets allocated to each class sale will be based on historical purchase data and/or projected enrollments of each class at University Park.

FRESHMAN and TRANSFER STUDENT PARTICIPATION
3. Incoming Freshmen and newly accepted Transfer Students are eligible to participate in the online sale without pre-registration
because issuance of University email addresses for this group will not yet be complete at the time of the sale. These students must meet all Penn State entrance and eligibility standards by 5:00 PM May 15th to be eligible to purchase student season football tickets.

TICKET RESALE POLICY
4. The season ticket process is intended solely for Penn State students who plan to attend the scheduled games and support the Nittany Lions. There will be no student coupons mailed for the 2009 Nittany Lion Football Season. All tickets will be associated with the Penn State id+ Card which must be swiped upon entry to the stadium. Information on how to sell individual game student tickets will be posted on "Student Central" on August 4, 2009.
