Penn State To Be Featured 12 Times on BTN's Fall Olympic Sports Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - The Big Ten Network released its fall Olympic sports schedule on Thursday, which will air 12 matches of Penn State athletics. Women's volleyball heads the field with six contests to be shown, while field hockey, men's and women's soccer will each have two of their respective matches aired.

Women's volleyball set a new mark in the Big Ten with the most matches to be shown (six) of any conference member. The squad kicks off the Penn State Olympic sports television schedule with a match at Illinois on September 26 at 8:00 p.m. Additionally, the team will have three of its home matches shown from Rec Hall.

The women's soccer team, in search of its 12-straight Big Ten title, has two matches on BTN, both of which will be shown live. The September 27 match against rival Michigan State will air at noon from East Lansing, Mich. The Nittany Lions host Illinois on October 25 for a 2:00 p.m. clash with the Illini at Jeffrey Field.

The men's soccer television lineup starts similar to the women's as the squad travels to Michigan State for its BTN game at noon on October 4. Penn State returns home for a Halloween match with Wisconsin at Jeffrey Field, the game will be tape-delayed on Sunday, November 1 at 4:00 p.m.

Field hockey has its sights set on another Big Ten Championship and will be showcased in games against Ohio State and Iowa. The October 2 game against OSU will air Sunday, October 4 at 4:00 p.m., while the Iowa game (October 18) will be shown the next day, October 19 at 8:00 p.m.

The Big Ten Network will also air the conference tournament semifinal and title games for the men's soccer and field hockey tournaments.
