UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - The Third Annual Penn State Football Letterman's Club golf outing on Saturday was a huge success as more than 100 former players and current coaches enjoyed a great day at the Penn State Blue Course.
Players spanning more than 50 years of Nittany Lion Football returned to campus for golf, dinner and fellowship. Head Coach Joe Paterno, and his wife, Sue, joined the former players for dinner.
Among the former players who returned were: Tom Bill, Jordan Caruso, Keith Conlin, Dave Costlow, Omar Easy, Scott Fitzkee, Chuck Fusina, Matt Kranchick, Josh Kroell, Justin Kurpeikis, Greg Murphy, Scott Radecic, Glenn Ressler, Ted Sebastianelli, Sam Sobczak, Bill Spoor, Doug Strang, Matt Suhey, Buddy Tesner and Rocky Washington.
The outing also included three sets of fathers and sons who have played for the Nittany Lions: Fran and Jason Ganter, Mike and Andy Guman and John and Todd Kulka.
The winning team was comprised of Doug Farren, Gerald Filardi, Brandon Parmer and Don Ferrell, former director of the Penn State Football Academic Support Center. The second place team was comprised of Mark Ewing, Tom Giatto, Bill Glennon and Joe Lally. The third place team group was Greg Buttle, Tom Donchez, Lance Mehl and Jim Rosecrans.
