The first day at the Lady Northern Invitational was cut short due to severe weather in the Madison, Wisc. The Nittany Lions currently sit in 14th place midway through the second round, which could not be completed. Penn State finished the first round of play in a tie for 13th place with a score of 314.
Gia Fanelli (West Palm Beach, Fl.) led the Nittany Lions in the first round with a score of 77 and finished the round tied for 37th place. Brianna Malcolmson (Murwillumbah, Australia) followed close behind with a first round score of 78 and Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy) notched a score of 79. Each of those three are currently in a tie for 62nd place in the second round.
Ohio State finished the first round with the lead, putting together an impressive score of 283 and currently sits in first place at seven under par.
Second round play will continue tomorrow morning at 7:30am. The third round will start at approximately 9:30am.
