Three Former Lions Set to Play in Minor League Baseball Playoffs

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Former Penn State lefty Craig Clark has been promoted to the AA Connecticut Defenders following the San Jose Giants' regular season finale on Monday. He looks to bolster the Defenders' pitching staff in their series against intrastate rival New Britain which begins on Wednesday.

Clark had a superb season in high-A, posting a 16-2 record which earned him California League Pitcher of the Year accolades. Rather than pitching in the playoffs for San Jose, he will try and help a Connecticut squad looking for its first league championship in over seven years.

Along with Clark, former Penn State standouts Scott Kelley and Drew O'Neil are also set for postseason play as well.

Check back to GoPSUsports.com as all three look for their respective league championships.
