Scott Kelley served as a double threat for the Nittany Lions in 2008, starting 21 games in the outfield while making eight appearances in relief. Kelley is projected to be one of Penn State[apos]s top starters in 2009. He was primarily used as a pitcher during his freshman year and, after a foray into the outfield, he returned to the mound against High Point for the first time in two seasons. Kelley struck out eight batters in just six innings of work. He also will see time in the outfield as he is a threat for multiple-base hits. With limited at-bats, he was third on the team with four homeruns. He put together two hitting streaks of four or more games last season.
