The main priority of our sport camp programs is the health, safety and well-being of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, and staff. 

All potential applicants to our youth residential programs are encouraged to regularly check our updated information and expectations, which may be subject to change.

Online registration ends 2 days prior to the first day of camp, unless the camp is full.

Baseball Future Stars Prospect Camp
August 19
Grades 10 and 11

The Penn State Baseball Future Stars Prospect Camp is open to boys in grades 10 and 11 this fall.  This competitive camp is specifically designed for more advanced players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing baseball beyond high school. Players will have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and showcase their talent under the direct supervision and evaluation of the Penn State coaching staff.
 

Each player will learn the same skills and techniques that the Penn State Baseball players use to develop their game.  Players will participate in a pro-style workout which includes on-field batting practice, on-field defensive evaluation, and instruction in base running.  Detailed positional instruction and simulated games will also be included.  Players will have an opportunity to learn from our sports performance coaches and will have full access to Penn State Baseball facilities.  The camp will also include a campus tour.

 

NOTE:  Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis until the session is filled. We will be accepting a maximum of 20 participants for the camp to ensure adequate instruction from our staff. 


Fee:  $90/day camper (includes instruction, camp shirt, no housing)

Meals: Bring your own snacks and a water bottle to fill at camp. Water will be provided.

Baseball Elite Prospect Camp
August 25
Grades 9 and up, boys

The Penn State Baseball Elite Prospect Camp is open to boys entering grades 9 and up this fall.  This one-day competitive camp is specifically designed for more advanced players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing baseball beyond high school. Each player will learn the same skills and techniques that the Penn State Baseball players use to develop their game. Players will have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and showcase their talent under the direct supervision and evaluation of the Penn State coaching staff.  Each player will also participate in a live game.
 
The camp will be limited to 60 players.  Enrollment will consist of catchers (8), first basemen (4), second basemen (4), shortstops (4), third basemen (4), outfielders (12), and pitchers (24). 

PITCHERS ONLY

  • Will pitch a maximum of 2 innings in the game.
  • Receive instruction during the instructional segment.
  • Note:  If you play a position and want to participate in games at your secondary position, you must register as a position player.

 
POSITION PLAYERS

  • Receive instruction in your primary position or secondary position.
  • Play the game at your primary position.
  • Play the game at your secondary position only if roster availability allows.
  • Outfielders—will play all 3 outfield positions.
  • First Base/Catcher—will only play first base and catch.
  • Infielders—Will rotate between 2B, SS, and 3B.
  • Pitcher as a secondary position—will play your primary position and only pitch a maximum of 1-inning in the game.

Position Player - $265 per camp

NOTE:  Registrations will be processed by position on a first-come, first-serve basis until the session is filled. Because of the organization of the camp instructional program, it is necessary to accept applicants on the basis of age level and position played. For this reason, applicants of certain positions will be closed out when positions are filled. 
 
Please register for the position you plan to participate at the camp.
 
Meals: Bring your own lunch/snacks and a water bottle to fill at camp. Water will be provided.

Accommodations:

Participants are responsible for their own housing arrangements. A list of hotels, as well as additional information and maps, can be found HERE!  



Facility

Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the home of the Nittany Lion baseball team is arguably one of the best collegiate stadiums in the country. A spacious clubhouse welcomes the Nittany Lions with a locker room, an expanded training room, a weight room, a team lounge and an indoor batting cage which also includes two dirt mounds for pitchers to work off of in inclement weather and opens directly into the Penn State bullpen on the right field line.

 

What to Bring for Camp

Campers should bring a fielder's glove, batting gloves, a baseball cap, bat (if possible), batting helmet (if possible), spikes and tennis shoes. Catchers should bring all necessary gear, including shin guards, chest protectors and masks. Personal equipment will not be shared. Also, campers should bring a water bottle to refill during camp.
