MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Round two of the Memphis Intercollegiate was suspended due to darkness. The final few holes of the second round will be completed at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Senior Kevin Foley (Somerville, N.J.) illuminated the field in the beginning of his second round with four birdies on the front nine, sitting at 1-under par. Foley carded a first round of 75 to finish at 2-over par. Foley, who is currently ranked 88th in the country according to Golfstat sits just four stroke back from tournament leader Marc-Ettienne Bussieres of the University of Southern Alabama.

"Kevin's play was fantastic today with the exception of only a few holes," said head coach Greg Nye. "He has a chance to win here again!"

The Nittany Lions battled through windy conditions to sit tied for seventh with Maryland and Wisconsin. Penn State posted a first round, 314, to finish 30-over par.

"The first round was a combination of our rust from not practicing through the freaky snow pattern at Penn State, our poor play, and tough windy conditions in the morning round," said Nye. "Our second round started great with Kevin going four under through six holes, and T.J., Jim and Ernie all right around par or under. We had a tough mid section but we are in the process of a strong finish in round two."

Other Lions in the field include senior Jim Markovitz (Bridgeville, Pa.) who carded a 79 in the first round and currently sits at 1-under par. Senior T.J. Howe (Osceola, Pa.) shot a first-round 79. Ernesto Marin (Miami, Fla.) shot an opening round of 81, and sits at 3-over par while newcomer, Matthew Porter (Cortland, N.Y) wrapped up his first 18 holes with an 82.

"We have an opportunity Tuesday to have an excellent finish, after a very tough golf week in State College," said Nye.

The final 18 and the remaining few will pick up tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Live scoring is available at Golfstat as well as Nittany Lion updates at GoPSUSports. Follow the Nittany Lion golf team on twitter at Twitter
