BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Despite taking a quick 1-0 lead, No. 20 Indiana charged back with four unanswered goals to hand the Penn State field hockey team a 4-1 defeat on Friday afternoon. Redshirt freshman Hannah Allison scored the Lions' goal at 10:39 while junior goalkeeper Ali Meves finished with four saves. Penn State remains in Bloomington to face Pacific on Saturday at 12 p.m.

Penn State started strong and capitalized off a penalty corner chance to make it 1-0 just over 10 minutes into the game. Freshman Kelsey Amy made a nifty feed to Allison, who converted for her fifth goal of the season and third in the last five games. In the process, it tied her for the team lead while Amy's assist marked the first of her career.

The Hoosiers responded only 3:11 later when Shareyna Chang made a redirection past Meves to even the score at one. Meg O'Connell then scored off a scramble at 17:01 and Morgan Fleetwood added insurance off a penalty corner at 32:04.

Fleetwood added her second marker at 50:32 to give Indiana the three-goal margin.

Final shots were 14-6 in favor of Indiana while it also had the edge in penalty corners, 7-6. Meves made four sensational saves while Alex Mann made two in the first 64:04 and Becky Pany added one in relief.

The Nittany Lions remain in Bloomington to face Pacific on Saturday at 12 p.m. They then return home for the regular season finale on Oct. 31 vs. No. 8 Michigan State. Gametime is set for 12 p.m. on Senior Recognition Day.
