UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Big Ten Network has announced it will broadcast the March 21 Penn State men's volleyball match live. Action is set for 4 p.m. in Penn State's Rec Hall between the Nittany Lions and Ohio State.
This will be the first men's volleyball match ever to be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. The Nittany Lions are currently the only conference school to have any of its men's volleyball matches streamed live on BigTenNetwork.com. Penn State will have five matches streamed live on the network's website, including tonight's match with Saint Francis (Pa.). In addition to tonight's match, the Jan. 26 match with Juniata, the Feb. 13 match with Laval, the Feb. 19 match with Ball State and the March 26 match with Princeton will all be streamed live on BigTenNetwork.com.
The Nittany Lions, fresh off their 25th EIVA championship title in 2009, are currently 2-1 this season with victories against then No. 12 Hawaii and No. 10 Ohio State at the 2010 Hawaii Outrigger Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii. Penn State takes on the Red Flash tonight at 7 p.m. at home in Rec Hall.
