UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's gymnastics team hosts its first home meet of the 2010 season on Saturday, Jan. 23. The No. 22 Nittany Lions host Cornell, Iowa and Yale at Rec Hall with action beginning at 7 p.m.

The Series: Penn State vs. Cornell
The series between Penn State and Cornell dates back to 2001. The two squads first met in a quad meet with Alabama and Rutgers. Alabama won the meet (197.525) with PSU taking second (196.650) and Cornell finishing fourth (185.600). The teams last met in 2009 in a quad meet with William & Mary and Penn. The Lions won the meet (196.150) and Cornell took second (189.675).

The Series: Penn State vs. Iowa
Penn State is 10-1 against Iowa in a series dating back to 1992. The teams last met in 2009 at the Big Ten Championships. The Nittany Lions took third (196.525), while Iowa finished seventh (195.450).

The Series: Penn State vs. Yale
The Nittany Lions are 6-0 all-time vs. Yale. Last season, PSU met the Bulldogs in a quad meet at Maryland. Penn State won the meet (196.125), while Yale finished fourth (165.625).

What's Next?
Penn State hosts Minnesota and Alabama on Saturday, Jan. 30. Action is set for 7 p.m. in Rec Hall. The meet will be taped by the Big Ten Network and broadcast on the network on Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
