UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.--The Penn State men's swimming & diving team wraps up its 2009-10 home slate of meets at McCoy Natatorium with two this weekend against Buffalo and Lehigh. The Lions take on Buffalo Friday at 4 p.m. and Lehigh at 1 p.m. on Saturday for Senior Meet and Pink Day.

LIONS TAKE ON BUFFALO: The Nittany Lions host back-to-back meets for the first time since Penn State welcomed West Virginia, Virginia and Michigan State to Happy Valley, kicking off the 2007-08 campaign. SENIOR SEND OFF AGAINST LEHIGH: The Nittany Lion swimming family will see its seven senior men's competitors in their final meet at McCoy Natatorium on Saturday.  The pre-meet ceremonies will take place at the pool starting at 12:45 p.m. prior to the day's competition. Head coach John Hargis and the rest of the Nittany Lion staff will celebrate the years of dedication and hard work from seniors Jon Cochrane, Max Ettore, Dan Fimbianti, Basil Kaaki, Mike Kaiserian, Colin Quirk and Ben Ryan.

LAST TIME OUT: The Penn State men's swimming & diving team bounced back from a disappointing Friday night with a solid Saturday performance in defeating Northwestern, 166-162, at McCorkle Pavilion. The Nittany Lions fell to host No. 9 Ohio State, 263-70, and No. 6 Michigan, 270-72.

Penn State (4-5) was led by Brian Alden who captured a win in the 100 free in a time of 44.57 and helped lead the 200 Freestyle Relay to third place. The squad, which swam a time of 1:21.96, also included Basil Kaaki, John Austin and Jamie Grennan.

Senior Dan Fimbianti touched the final wall in the time of 50.09 in the 100 backstroke for a fifth-place finish. Freshmen Graham Risley and Luke Bushman were eighth and ninth place respectively in the event, finishing in times of 51.12 and 51.71.

Kaaki put together the next-best individual performance with his 50.06 swim in the 100 butterfly, which earned him eighth place. Scott Marino added another top 10 performance in the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.47, good for ninth. Bushman was tenth, just .01 behind Marino with a time of 1:53.48.
