No. 17 Women's Gymnastics Hosts No. 23 Illinois

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 17th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team welcomes the No. 23 Fighting Illini to Rec Hall on Saturday, Feb. 6. The meet is set to begin at 7 p.m.

The Series: Penn State vs. Illinois
The Nittany Lions are 15-2 all-time in competition against the Illini. Penn State's last win came in 2007 at the Big Ten Championships where Penn State finished second with a score of 196.475, while Illinois took third with a 195.250. In 2008 and 2009, Illinois has taken second at the Big Ten Championships and Penn State third. Last season, the Illini scored a 196.750 and Penn State scored a 196.525.

What's Next?
The Nittany Lions travel to Pittsburgh on Feb. 13 before returning home to host West Virginia on Feb. 20.

Musser Leads Lions
Freshman Sharaya Musser competed in three events in the Jan. 30 meet against No. 1 Alabama and No. 23 Minnesota. She led the Nittany Lions on all three events with season-highs. On vault she scored a 9.900, on bars she earned a 9.875 and on beam she scored a 9.825. Musser received the Ann Carr award for her performance.
