Baseball Game at Pittsburgh Moved to Wednesday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State baseball's game at Pittsburgh originally scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) has been moved to Wednesday due to rain in the forecast. Game time remains at 3 p.m.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a weekend split at the Coca-Cola Classic hosted by Winthrop. The squad advanced to the Championship Game before falling to Kent State, 10-5.

Junior Ben Heath led the way offensively with two home runs and 10 RBI in three games played, including a career-high seven driven in Saturday night against Winthrop. That mark was only one shy of the Penn State school record. He is now hitting .317 with six home runs and 19 RBI on the season along with a 1.087 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage).

Penn State returns to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park for its home opener this weekend against Hofstra. Following a 3:35 p.m. start on Friday, the teams play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game Sunday. Both games are set for 12:05 p.m. Purchase your tickets today!
