COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Ohio State University are postponed until Friday. An illness affected several participants, delaying the start of competition until Noon on Friday.
Sophomore freestyle specialist Brian Alden (Lansdale, Pa.) was set to compete in Thursday's 50-yard freestyle preliminaries, but the NCAA has pushed his initial day's work to Friday. Each scheduled day of competition has been moved back 24 hours effectively changing the end of the Championships from Saturday night to Sunday night.
