UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Big Ten opener for Penn State and Minnesota on Saturday has been turned into a doubleheader. Sunday's game, originally scheduled for 11 a.m., will now be played immediately following Saturday's game at 2:00 p.m. The first game can be found on All-Access and on the airwaves at 1390 AM WRSC in State College.

Impending inclement weather forced the move of Sunday's game so that both games will be played. Sunday's weather calls for cold conditions with the wind chills below 30 degrees and rain moving into the State College area around mid-day.

Penn State and Minnesota have had problems with weather in past games. In both 2006 and 2007, the two-game series was rained out or frozen out due to unplayable conditions. Ohio State and Wisconsin also moved their Sunday game to Saturday afternoon. PSU and Minnesota are set for first pitch at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
