UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State women's soccer welcomes eight newcomers to campus this summer. All season long the Nittany Lions will be featured in a video segment called "Meet the Lions" about their experiences heading to Penn State.
Video interviews of the Penn State newcomers will run intermittently throughout the summer season. The second of the year is Emily Hurd, a freshman midfielder out of Sammamish, Wash. Last week, Taylor Schram debuted on GoPSUsports.com's video interview June 3, which can be seen below Hurd's video. The tentative lists of video interviews are listed below that.
June 10: Hayley Brock
June 15: Ellen Arnaud
Other student-athletes will be added as the summer progresses. "Meet the Lions" will run through training camp in August. The remaining student-athletes will be Maya Hayes, Briana Hovington, Corrinne Mazzotta and Tara Barr. One special feature to be added to the program will be new goalkeeping coach Tim Wassell.
Penn State women's soccer opens its season with an exhibition match on Aug. 14 at Villanova before the first regular-season match at West Virginia on Aug. 20 at 7:00 p.m.
