Penn State Men's Golf Team Heads South for the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team will travel to Dallas, Texas to compete at the third annual Royal Oaks Intercollegiate hosted by Baylor University. The two-day tournament will take place at the Royal Oaks Country Club and will be the final stop on the Nittany Lions' fall schedule.

The Royal Oaks course spans 7,068 yards with a par of 71. The 54-hole tournament will begin with 36 holes on Monday, Nov. 1 and conclude with the final 18 holes on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Baylor will welcome 10 teams in addition to Penn State to the tournament. Other teams include Arkansas, Texas A&M, Iowa, Texas Tech, New Mexico, Oklahoma, UNLV, Lamar, SMU and Long Beach State. Four of the teams are currently ranked in the top 20 of the Golfstat standings - No. 10 Arkansas, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 17 Iowa and No. 19 Texas Tech.

Penn State's lineup will consist of seniors T.J. Howe (Osceola, Pa) and Tommy McDonagh (East Norwalk, Conn.), sophomores Ernesto Marin (Miami, Fla.) and Jay Woodward (Bridgeport, W.Va.), and freshman Michael Miller (Brewster, N.Y.).
