UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - This weekends NAC B tournament, which spans four days, has proved to be challenging for the Nittany Lion fencers who have turned in only one Top Ten finish.
Freshman Jeremy Goldstein, of the Penn State men's team has found the most success thus far. Goldstein is coming off of a fifth place finish at least weekends Garret Open and as one of the newest additions to the team he has proven himself to be a valuable asset. This weekends tie for ninth place in the men's foil puts Goldstein in a promising position for the season ahead. Teammate David Willette took 14th in the event.
Anthony Green, a fellow freshman who also found great success at last weekends Garret Open, took 16th in the men's epee.
The tournament resumes today with the women's competition.
