LION CAREER:
2013-14:In his senior year, Goldstein saw plenty of action. He finished the regular season with a record of 38-18 and was able to compete in the Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regional where he locked in 2nd place and advanced to the NCAA Championship. He had seven undefeated duals against Penn twice, OSU, WSU, Detroit, Cleveland, and Duke.
2012-13: Goldstein had an impressive junior campaign, and qualified for the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional where he finished in eighth place. The junior ended the regular season with a 32-9 record. He had six undefeated duals against Sacred Heart, Vassar, UNC, Columbia, Harvard, and Duke. His performance at the St. John[apos]s Invitational on January 26, 2013 led him to be named a CollegeFencing360.com Primetime Performer of the Week. The junior finished in eighth place at this year[apos]s Penn State Garret Open.
2011-12: Goldstein had a strong sophomore year, finishing with a record of 28-18 to qualify for the Mid-Atlantic/South Regional. At the regional, he placed 3rd in the Foil. He was dominant in 3-0 performances against Columbia, Harvard, North Carolina, and Johns Hopkins. He also went 2-1 against Notre Dame, Duke(twice), Brandeis, St. John[apos]s, and Princeton. He won 2-0 against Haverford.
2010-11: In his first year of collegiate action for the Nittany Lions Goldstein went 17-7. The Freshman went 3-0 against Drew, UNC and Johns Hopkins.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Prior to coming to Penn State in 2010, Goldstein fenced for the Fencing Academy of Westchester under Head Coach Slava Grigoriev. He holds the Number 6 ranking in the 2010 Season Junior Ranking and the Number 19 in the 2010 Season Senior Ranking. He was a member of the USFA Cadet World Championship team in 2009 as well as 2008. Goldstein took home the Gold Medal as a member of the Senior Mens Foil team in the 2010 Summer National Championships.
