UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - More than 40 radio stations in four states and www.GoPSUsports.com will carry the Penn State Sports Network's Penn State Football Show Outback Bowl Special Presented by Safeco Insurance.

The call-in program will air on Monday, Dec. 27 from 5:05-6:00 p.m. ET, immediately preceding the Network's coverage of the Nittany Lion Basketball team's Big Ten Conference opener at Indiana. The basketball pre-game show will begin at 6:00 p.m., with tipoff at 6:30 p.m. ET in Bloomington.

Steve Jones, the radio play-by-play voice of the Nittany Lion football and basketball teams, will host the Penn State Football Show Outback Bowl Special Presented by Safeco Insurance. He will be joined by broadcast partner Jack Ham. Members of the Penn State coaching staff also are scheduled to participate in the program.

The Penn State Sports Network's coverage of the Nittany Lions' Outback Bowl clash with Florida will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET on New Year's Day. Penn State and Florida are meeting for just the third time, with the last meeting at the 1998 Florida Citrus Bowl. Kickoff for the 25th Outback Bowl is set for 1:00 p.m. on New Year's Day in Tampa, Fla.

The Penn State Football Show airs every Thursday at 6:05 p.m. from late August through late November. Coach Joe Paterno and members of the Nittany Lion football program is on the show during the football season. The Penn State Basketball Show airs every Thursday at 6:05 p.m. from early December through mid-March and features Nittany Lion coach Ed DeChellis and members of the program.
