UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's and women's lacrosse teams hosted a free youth clinic for the Centre County Lacrosse organization. Nearly 200 campers, boys and girls ages six to 18, took part in the event on sunday afternoon in Holuba Hall.
Women's head coach Missy Doherty and men's head coach Jeff Tambroni, both in their first years as head coaches at Penn State, led the clinic. Players from both men's and women's teams helped run the event, which featured demonstrations and skills work.
Penn State lacrosse season begins in February with the women's team hosting a scrimmage against Cornell on February 13 and the men's team hosting a scrimmage against Johns Hopkins on Feb. 5.
