UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's gymnastics team travels to Gainesville, Fla. on Friday, Jan. 28. The Nittany Lions are set to face No. 1 Florida and No. 13 N.C. State at Florida's Stephen C. O'Connell Center at 7 p.m.
The Series: Penn State vs. Florida
Penn State is 13-27 all-time against the Gators. The squads last met in 2007 at Arkansas where they were joined by Nebraska, LSU and Denver. Florida won the meet with a 196.550 and Penn State finished fourth with a 194.575. Penn State's last win against Florida came on March 10, 2001 in a quad-meet at Denver. Penn State took first scoring a 195.375, while the Gators placed second with a 195.150.
The Series: Penn State vs. N.C. State
Penn State is 4-2 against N.C. State. The Nittany Lions last saw the Wolfpack on Jan. 28, 2007. Penn State won the meet scoring a 193.850 to N.C. State's 192.625.
What's Next?
The Nittany Lions return home on Feb. 6 to host a quad meet with Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Bridgeport. Meet action is set for 2 p.m. at Rec Hall.
