Goldstein to Compete in Junior Olympics

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; February 15, 2011 -Penn State's Jeremy Goldstein will join over 1,500 fencers this weekend, Feb. 18-21, in Dallas, Texas to compete in the 2011 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships. The four day competition will determine who earns the right to represent the U.S. team at the Junior and Cadet World Championship later this year.

The freshman from Westport, Connecticut has had a standout debut season for the Nittany Lions thus far. After beginning his first year of collegiate action with a fifth place finish at the Penn State Garret Open, Goldstein has continued to find success in the men's foil.

Goldstein will be the solo representative for Penn State at this weekend's event. Action will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day.
