Wisconsin Dual Nearing Sellout; Student Tickets Being Distributed Thursday Morning

Feb. 15, 2011

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Student tickets to No. 3 Penn State's final home dual meet against No. 12 Wisconsin will be available on Thursday, Feb. 17. A limited number of free student tickets will be made available for dual meet, which is nearing a sellout. Less than 800 tickets remain for the dual with the Badgers, which takes place in Rec Hall on Friday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m.

The free student tickets can be picked up between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Rec Hall ticket office on a first come, first serve basis. There is a limit of one ticket per student and individuals must have a valid Penn State student ID to receive one and the tickets are for a specially designated student section. Student ticket holders coming to the dual on Friday must present both their ticket and their valid ID to gain entry to the event (students who do not show both the ticket and the ID will not be admitted). There will be a designated student entry to Rec Hall that evening to facilitate access as well. These procedures are identical to the successful student ticket distribution for Penn State's sold out dual with Iowa on Jan. 30.

With tickets disappearing quickly, fans still have time to purchase them before the event becomes Penn State's second sell out of the year. Individuals wishing to purchase tickets can place their orders by calling 814-865-5555 or visit the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office. The box office is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ticket pricing is $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Group sales are also available.

The Nittany Lions enter the dual with a 16-1-1 record and are 5-1-1 in Big Ten duals. Penn State will be looking for its sixth Big Ten dual meet win of the year, which would tie the all-time Nittany Lion record for Big Ten dual victories in a season (Penn State went 6-0 in 1998). The 2010-11 Penn State wrestling season is presented by the Family Clothesline. All Penn State events will once again air live on Forever Broadcasting's WRSC (1390 AM) and WSQV (92.1 FM). All radio broadcasts are streamed live at GoPSUsports.com as part of the All-Access package. The 2010-11 Penn State Wrestling season is presented by The Family Clothesline.
