UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 18 Penn State women's gymnastics team is back in action at Maryland on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. The Nittany Lions are competing in a quad meet and are joined by Rutgers and William & Mary.
The Series: Penn State vs. Maryland
The Nittany Lions and the Terrapins have met for the last four years. Most recently in 2010, Penn State hosted Maryland in a quad meet with Michigan and Bridgeport. PSU won the meet with a season-high score of 196.725, while Maryland placed third scoring a 195.650.
The Series: Penn State vs. Rutgers
Penn State last met Rutgers in 2008 on March 21. In a quad meet at Rec Hall with Nebraska and Maryland, PSU finished second with a 195.725. Rutgers recorded a 189.475 for fourth place.
The Series: Penn State vs. William & Mary
Penn State hosted William & Mary in 2009 in a quad meet with Cornell and Penn. The Nittany Lions won the meet with a 196.150, while William & Mary posted a 188.375 for third place.
What's Next?
The Nittany Lions return to Rec Hall for two straight weekends on Feb. 26 when they host Ohio State at 1 p.m. The meet will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network and is a double dual with the Nittany Lion men's team. Penn State remains at home to host N.C. State and Maryland on Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m.
