UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Penn State Lady Lion (22-8, 11-5) guard Maggie Lucas (Narberth, Pa.) finished out the regular season in style with her conference-record eighth Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after averaging 15.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Lady Lions. Additionally, Lucas moved into a tie with Kelly Mazzante for first place on the Penn State single-season three-pointers list.

Lucas averaged 15.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game as the Lady Lions split a pair of contests last week. In Thursday's tough two-point loss to Purdue, Lucas tallied 10 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals. Lucas was stellar in the regular-season finale win over Northwestern Sunday as she posted her 12th 20-point game of the season with 21 tallies on 7-of-13 shooting, including a trio of three-pointers. In her first career start, Lucas handed out a career-best four assists to go along with a pair of steals.

With her three three-pointers against the Wildcats, Lucas tied Mazzante's single-season three-pointers record with her 102nd triple of the season. She is just the third player in Big Ten history to have 100 long range shots in a season (Mazzante and OSU's Caity Matter). Lucas is sixth in the Big Ten in scoring at a 16.3 per game clip and she leads the league in three-pointers per game (3.4). The Narberth, Pa. native is also third in the Big Ten and in the Top 10 nationally in three-point field goal percentage (.449).
