UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Registration is open for the 2011 Penn State Girls' Gymnastics Camps. There will be two camps during the month of July. Camp I runs July 6-9, while Camp II runs July 10-13.
Registration for the 2011 camps can be completed online or by mail. Enrollment is limited and early registration is encouraged. Penn State maintains a wait list for its sport camps. Registration fees may be paid by credit via the online system or by mailing a check with the registration form.
The Penn State Girls' Gymnastics camps is designed for gymnasts ages 6-18, beginner to elite levels of gymnastics. High School graduates are also eligible to enroll. Emphasis is placed on skill development on all four Olympic events. Training is also enhanced through dance and conditioning. All campers will have exclusive use of our new state-of-the-art training facility, which is fully equipped with AAI equipment, foam and Resi-Pits.
Coaching staff for the 2011 camps includes Penn State head women's gymnastics coach Jeff Thompson, associate head coach Rachelle Thompson and assistant coach Randy Monahan, as well as team members of the Penn State men's and women's gymnastics teams. Both camps are conducted on Penn State's University Park campus in State College, Pa. Resident campers are housed in University resident halls and supervised by camp counselors.
