Men's Golf is Louisiana Bound

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lions will head south to compete in the 12-team field of the 2011 LSU National Invitational Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will take place at the par-72, 7,274 yard University Club.

Penn State will meet up with three Big Ten foes including Iowa, Minnesota and Michigan for the second time this spring. Completing the field are Boston College, Centenary, Iowa State, Notre Dame, ULL, UT-Chattanooga, VCU and host LSU.

The Nittany Lions will travel a familiar lineup to the spring season consisting of seniors T.J. Howe (Osceola, Pa.) and Tommy McDonagh (East Norwalk, Conn.) and sophomores Jay Woodward (Bridgeport, W.Va.), Anthony DeGol (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) and Ernesto Marin (Miami, Fla.).

The teams will have a chance to familiarize themselves with the course during a practice round set to take place on Friday at 12:30 p.m. The first two rounds will be played back-to-back, starting with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday.
