The Penn State women's golf team is fourth after two rounds of action at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan. The Nittany Lions are +38 after opening rounds of 306 and 308. Sophomore Emily Ransone (Hilliard, Ohio) is tied for sixth with a +5 after a first round 73 and a second round 76. Eastern Michigan is at the head of the field heading into the third round with a 600 (+24). Akron's Kristin Hill is the leading individual, and sits at +1.

Freshman Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) has also been strong for the Nittany Lions, carding a 76 in each of the first two rounds. She is currently tied for 14th. Freshman Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) is tied for 33rd after twin rounds of 79. Senior Gia Fanelli (West Palm Beach, Fla.) finished the first two rounds tied for 39th with a 159 (78, 81) and sophomore Hanule Seo (St. Louis, Mo.) carded an 84 and a 77 and is in 52nd.
