49ers Announce Undrafted Free Agents

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State men's lacrosse alumnus Chris Hogan (Wyckoff, N.J., '10) agreed to terms with the National Football League's San Francisco 49ers, the team announced on Wednesday.

An undrafted free agent, Hogan was a four-year member of the University's men's lacrosse team (2007-10). The midfielder appeared in 43 career games and totaled 71 points (57g, 14a).

In his freshman season, Hogan started all 13 games for the Nittany Lions and ranked fourth on the team in goals (11) and sixth in points (11). After an injury limited the Wyckoff, N.J., native to just three games during the 2008 season, Hogan enjoyed a breakout junior campaign. He paced the team with 29 goals and 133 shots en route to First-Team All-ECAC honors. As a senior, Hogan added 24 points (15g, 9a) in 13 games.

Following his Penn State career, Hogan enrolled in a master's program at Monmouth University, where he played both wide receiver and safety during the 2010 season. He caught 12 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns, while posting 28 tackles and three interceptions.
