The clinicians will be master level officials with extensive experience at all levels of track & field officiating and will be offering hands-on training at various venues within the Ashenfelter Indoor Track. The clinic will begin at 9:00 a.m., and last approximately three hours. The clinic will be followed by working at the Penn State Blue White Intrasquad track meet. At the completion of the clinic materials will be available to apply for certification as a USATF Association level official.

Costs: There is no cost for the clinic and the application fee for certification of $65 covers the remainder of the 2009-2012 Olympiad and the 2013-2016 Olympiad. Membership in USATF is required for certification and will provide liability insurance as an official. Membership is $30.00/year. Bringing these fees to the clinic will facilitate the certification process.

Penn State Track and Field/Cross Country Summer Camps
When: July 8-11, and July 15-18, 2012
Where: Penn State University (Campers will be stay in East Halls, but use multiple facilities around campus.)
Who Should Attend: Penn State Track and Field Camp and Cross-Country Camp help develop skills and techniques for track and field, and cross country. They are learning camps -- not training camps. Participants take part in drills, attend lectures and demonstrations, and use visual aids for each event, including the decathlon and heptathlon. Other aspects of competition -- nutrition, rest, relaxation, and general health -- are also part of the daily training. Because performance levels of campers may vary from beginner to advanced, instruction is individualized to accommodate that range. The camp is recommended for students entering grades 7-12 next fall.
