Men's Golf Travels to Florida for Amelia National Intercollegiate

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team will travel to Fernandina, Fla. to compete in the Amelia National Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 6-7. The tournament, co-hosted by North Florida and Georgia Southern at the par-72, 7,166-yard Amelia National Golf and Country Club, will be the concluding tournament of the Nittany Lions' fall schedule.

The 15-team field will consist of North Florida, Georgia Southern, Penn State, Arkansas State, Elon, Francis Marion Furman, Jacksonville, Troy State, USC Upstate, VCU, Wofford, Winthrop, Xavier and Texas A&M.

Competing for the Nittany Lions are senior Tommy McDonagh (East Norwalk, Conn.), juniors Anthony DeGol (Hollidaysburg, Pa.), Ernesto Marin (Miami, Fla.) and Jay Woodward (Bridgeport, W.Va.) and sophomore Shane Stewart (Dublin, Ohio).

The tournament will feature a practice round Sunday, Nov. 6 and will officially tee-off Monday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Two rounds will be contested Monday, with a final round Tuesday at 7:45 a.m.
