UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - As Penn State prepares for this Sunday's sold out dual with Iowa in Rec Hall, all 300 standing room only tickets for Penn State's Jan. 29 home dual with Ohio State have now sold out as well. The dual with the Buckeyes, set for next Sunday at 2 p.m., is Penn State's third shut-out of the year.
Rec Hall's listed capacity is 6,502 including the 300 SRO seats that are now gone for the OSU dual. Penn State was also into SRO capacity against Minnesota in November and, as stated, will be sold out for the next two Sunday duals. By the time student tickets for both Iowa and OSU duals are distributed, over 6,700 tickets for each of those duals will have been distributed prior to their starts. The Nittany Lions are already averaging over 6,100 per dual to date and that number is set to rise.
A very limited number of tickets remain for Penn State's home duals against No. 10 Michigan on Feb. 5 and No. 9 Pittsburgh on Feb. 19. Tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $5 for youth (18 and under) and can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day or in person at the Bryce Jordan Center box office. A maximum of four tickets may be purchased per person.
The full season slate of live dual meet and tournament action will air locally on WRSC AM (1390 AM) with Friday evening duals being simulcast on WRSC FM (103.1 FM). Lock Haven's WBPZ (1230 AM) will also carry the entire season live, WIEZ (670 AM) in Huntingdon/Lewistown carries all Sunday events and further affiliates may be added soon.
