UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 10th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team is back on the road this week with a visit to N.C. State on Saturday, Feb. 11. Action is set for 7 p.m. in N.C. State's Reynolds Coliseum. George Washington and William & Mary will also be in attendance at the meet.
The Series: Penn State vs. N.C. State
The Nittany Lions are 6-2 all-time against N.C. State. The programs met twice last season, first on Jan. 28 at Florida where The Nittany Lions took second place with a 195.300 and the Wolfpack took third with a 194.075. The teams met a second time on March 4 in a tri-meet with Maryland. PSU won with a 197.075, while N.C. State earned second place with a 195.125.
The Series: Penn State vs. George Washington
Penn State is 5-0 against GWU. The teams have not met since 2008 when the Nittany Lions faced GWU, Bowling Green and SUNY-Cortland. PSU won with a 195.025, while George Washington was second with a 192.575.
The Series: Penn State vs. William & Mary
The Nittany Lions are 5-0 against the Tribe and most recently met in 2011. In a quad-meet at Maryland, Penn State won with a 196.600, while William & Mary placed fourth with a 186.875.
What's Next?
Penn State returns to Rec Hall on Saturday, Feb. 18. The Nittany Lions host SUNY-Brockport at 7 p.m. The Penn State men's gymnastics team will also be in action hosting Big Ten foe Illinois.
