GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Penn State baseball (1-5) team squeaked out just two hits in a 6-0 loss in the final game of its series with UNC Greensboro (UNCG) on Sunday afternoon. Senior Jordan Steranka (Pittsburgh, Pa.) had both Nittany Lion hits.

Sophomore Joe Kurrasch (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) was stellar in relief of junior starting pitcher Steven Hill (Colleyville, Texas), as he tossed 3.1 innings, giving up just one hit and striking out four.

In the bottom of the third inning, Nick Chapman of the Spartans reached first base on a dinked infield hit. After advancing to second, Chapman scored on Christian Wolfe's one-out RBI single to give UNCG a 1-0 lead. Trevor Edwards then delivered a big three-run homerun later in the inning over the right field fence, giving the Spartans a 4-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, UNCG added more. Lloyd Enzor drove in Thomas Troelstrup to give the Spartans a 5-0 lead. Enzor then scored on Eric Kalbfleisch's base hit to make the score 6-0 in favor of the Spartans.

Penn State now turns to its Spring Break trip. The Nittany Lions will travel to Birmingham, Ala. to begin a three-game series with Samford. Penn State will then immediately head to Starkville, Miss. to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs. After a day off, the road trip will come to a close with a three-game bout with UAB.
