UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 11th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team is back at home for their third meet at Rec Hall this season on Friday, March 2. Meet action is scheduled for 7 p.m. against No. 23 Michigan and North Carolina.
The Series: Penn State vs. Michigan
Penn State is 6-22 all-time against the Wolverines. The Nittany Lions have finished second behind Michigan in the last two Big Ten Championships. Penn State's most recent win against the Wolverines came in a quad meet at Rec Hall on March 7, 2010 with Maryland and Bridgeport also in attendance. The Nittany Lions won with a 196.725, while Michigan took second with a 196.575.
The Series: Penn State vs. North Carolina
The Nittany Lions own a 6-0 record against the Tar Heels. Penn State and North Carolina last met on Feb. 11, 2011. The Nittany Lions won the dual meet with a 195.925, while UNC scored a 192.975.
What's Next?
Penn State heads back on the road for a short trip to Pittsburgh on March 11. Meet action is set for 6 p.m. The Nittany Lions return home on March 17 to host Maryland in a double dual with the Nittany Lion men's team. Prior to the meet, Penn State will honor its four senior women's gymnastics for their contributions to the Nittany Lion program.
