UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - For the eighth straight season, the Penn State women's golf team is set to compete at the Lady Buckeye Invitational, hosted by Ohio State, in Columbus, Ohio. The 54-hole tournament is scheduled to begin with two rounds on Saturday (April 21) and will end with one round on Sunday (April 22).

The 32nd Annual Lady Buckeye Invitational will be played on The Ohio State University Golf Club's par-72, 6,268-yard Scarlet Course. The 11-team field consists of eight Big Ten teams, including the Nittany Lions, providing a look for things to come at the Big Ten Championships (April 27-29).

"We are looking forward to getting out into the competition again," said head coach Denise St. Pierre. "Having a similar field as Big Tens is a nice dress rehearsal for the Championship. We love playing the Scarlet Course and hope to be at our best this weekend."

Six Penn State golfers will make the trip for the play-six, count-four tournament format. Sophomore Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) leads all Nittany Lions who have recorded more than 20 rounds this season with a 76.5 average.

Juniors Emily Ransone (Hilliard, Ohio) and Jamie Lavin (Deerfield, Ill.) will be participating for the Nittany Lions. Ransone carded a career-low round of 68 at the team's last tournament, the Pinehurst Challenge.

Freshman Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ont.) also gets the start. She is tied with Ransone to lead the team with three top-10 finishes this season. Classmates Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich, Que.) and Erin Michel (Mason, Ohio) round out the Penn State starters.

Saturday's first two rounds and Sunday's final round will begin with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start.
