UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Fifth Annual Coquese's Drive for the Centre County Women's Resource Center presented by the Lady Lion Cager Club will take place on Friday, August 31 at the Penn State Blue Course, Lady Lion head coach Coquese Washington announced today. The tournament will commence with a 10 a.m. shotgun start. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Centre County Women's Resource Center.

The golf tournament begins with a 9 a.m. registration and breakfast, followed by a 10 a.m. shotgun start with a closing lunch following the round of golf.

A foursome for the Drive for the Women's Resource Center is $400 and includes meal tickets to breakfast and lunch. An individual golfer can participate for $100. Entry fee includes breakfast, greens fee, cart, lunch and tournament gift. Tee signs to support the event are also available for $100.

Last year, 118 golfers hit the links at the Penn State Blue Course for the Fourth Annual Coquese's Drive for the Women's Resource Center. The event raised a record $26,549 for the Centre County Women's Resource Center (CCWRC) to bring the four-year total to $54,869.

The Centre County Women's Resource Center (CCWRC) provides services for people who have experienced Domestic and or Sexual Violence. Counselor/Advocates are available 24 hours a day. There is no cost involved and all services are private. The CCWRC provided services for 1,300 people last year in Centre County. Domestic and sexual violence happens to millions of people every year; from every religion, race, and economic class, in rural areas and cities, those with a college degree and in elementary school. Domestic and Sexual Violence effects someone you know!

The Lady Lions hold several camps throughout the summer. There is a Lady Lion Basketball Camp available for girls of all ages, ranging from shooting camp to elite camp.
