NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Penn State finds itself in the same place as it was yesterday, staying in second place. Penn State improved from round one, posting a total score of 291, shaving seven strokes from its round one score. Through the first two days, the Nittany Lions shot a total of 598 to put them 16 shots behind Nova Southeastern University.
Sophomore Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich,Que.) has moved up to a tie for sixth after shooting a second round score of 71, one under par-72. She shaved four strokes from her round one score. Juniors Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) and Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) find themselves in a tie for eighth place. Vosters shot a73, one over par-72 and Ceresko registered a score of 74, two over par-72. Senior Emily Ransone (Hilliard, Ohio) shot a 73, one over par-72 and is in a tie for 16th place.
Nova Southeastern University is still in the lead after round two, posting a total score of 281. They shaved 11 strokes from their round one score. Daniela Ortiz of Nova Southeastern University is in first place after posting a score of 67, five under par-72. She is two shots ahead of her teammate Abbey Grittings.
The Yale Intercollegiate concludes on Sunday, Sept. 23.
