UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics released the details of parking for home hockey events at Greenberg Ice Pavilion during the 2012-13 season on Thursday.
Penn State fans are able to park in Orange Lots C, F or G Monday-Friday after 5:00 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday. Anticipating that these lots will be full, Penn State will offer a courtesy shuttle for fans and media members that will originate from Orange H Lot for all home games. Parking for all Penn State games is free.
Nittany Lion fans will be able to park in the Orange H Lot, which is located off Hastings Road. A free shuttle will run to Greenberg Ice Pavilion 60 minutes before the first puck drops and 90 minutes after the final horn sounds. The Orange H Lot will have a pick-up point off Hastings Road east of University Drive.
The free shuttle will transport fans to Greenberg Ice Pavilion with two stops at the rink:
-- Hastings Road near the Lasch Building
-- McKean Road next to the Nittany Apartments and the main lobby.
Fans and media members who already have their game tickets and/or credentials in hand can utilize the first shuttle stop on Hastings Road and enter the arena. There are no ticket sales or will call at this entrance.
Other fans and family who either need to purchase a ticket, visit will call or pick up their tickets at media/player/guest will call need to use the second shuttle stop and enter through the main entrance.
Parking will not be available for hockey events at the Nittany Apartments or any yellow lots in the area.
Penn State men's hockey opens its inaugural NCAA campaign on Friday when it hosts AIC at 7:30 p.m. Less than 100 standing-room only tickets are available for the first varsity men's hockey game in 65 years and can be purchased by calling 1-800-NITTANY (648-8269).
The Nittany Lion women's hockey squad opens its inaugural home slate on Saturday at 7 p.m. against Syracuse. The two-game home series wraps up on Sunday with a 2 p.m. face-off. All women's home games are free.
